Glad You Came (The Wanted)

I only chose this song because I REALLY LIKE IT. I listen to conservative radio as I jog, but during commercial breaks, I check the other stations to see if this song is playing. It brings backs memories of being “infatuated” with Angelina. That said, there is no particular woman my heart is fiending for right now, and it sucks. I miss that feeling, though I certainly don’t miss the sensation of pain that inevitably always comes with it.

//

Evening.

Let me start by apologizing to my many victims. I’m 30, alone, horny, temporarily unemployed (long story, but I’ll be just fine, thank you) and unable to afford a home of my own, so this week I’ve been snapping left and right at people, including but not limited to this one chick with whom I’m now estranged, and like every loudmouth conservative extremist on the Internet.

// My View On Conservatism

So last week I discovered that lousy people come in all shapes and sizes. That said, I still think conservatism sucks, especially what with it having become so self-righteous. Mind you, I don’t blame conservatism itself as much as I blame the people who pretend to represent it. I’m not that familiar with Reagan, but I imagine he would be shaking his head left and right faster than a black woman on the Maury show if he knew what modern conservatives were up to.

\\ Personal Crap Laced With Supposed “Lessons”

I’ve discovered that there are only three things I’m genuinely passionate about at this stage in my life, and they are Web marketing, politics and women. I’m especially passionate about the latter :-), but I’m also pretty passionate about politics and Web marketing. I blog daily on Facebook about politics, and I spend quite a bit of time studying digital marketing techniques and applying them to my own websites.

It’s funny. A few months ago, the marketing income from my original site jumped up to about $400/month. At that point, I thought I had mastered the game. I went ahead and constructed a new site, thinking it would be a piece of cake to build a steady flow of traffic. Months have passed and I’m still barely pulling in any traffic. The good news is that I have my head on straight now.

It turns out that I’ve only dabbled with the tip of the iceberg and that Internet marketing is far more complicated than I could have ever imagined. Thankfully, I’m a good learner, so I’m progressing. In fact, whereas my initial website still maintains a Page Rank of only 2 (every website on the net has a ‘ranking’ between 0 and 10), my new site is already up to a PR of 4 :-).

Here’s my point. When you find something that you enjoy and that works for you, be prepared to work really hard for it. Never get cocky, and remain humble and willing to learn, because there’s always more information to digest. And be patient, because true success takes a lot of hard work and time. By the way, my first site is now up to an average income of $500 to $700/month :-). Hard work, baby!

And oh… never take things for granted! What’s here one day may not be there the next. This is an especially important lesson for marketers, as consumer behavior isn’t a quantifiable behavior. While my site is performing well now, it could suddenly drop. And that leads me to my final lesson: don’t put all your eggs or apples or whatever in one basket. In my case, I’m maintaining this rule by building more sites!

Do All Of The Above Energy Methodology

Interesting discussion on a 'Do all of the above' methodology concerning energy: fossil fuels, wind, nuclear, water, etc. Joe Scarborough chided both sides, saying liberals dismiss fossil fuel because it's not renewable, while conservatives dismiss renewable energy because it's not financially feasible.

Truthfully, I'm okay with a certain degree of drilling, so long as it doesn't adversely affect either the environment or communities who live near/around the drilling spots, and so long as we don't lose focus on renewable energy, as the latter is the only real way to permanently fix this problem.

Lou Dobbs And The Lorax

Lou Dobbs is mad because a movie about environmentalism -- a movie based on a Dr. Suess book - is a conspiracy by Obama's Hollywood friends. SMH. This comment sums up my reaction:

"Teaching kids to care about the environment? Oh, the horror! They should be taught that business should be able to treat the environment anyway they want and the free market will take care of everything. Never mind that economics teaches that it won't. Look up the word externalities if you don't know what I mean. "

Papa Bear

Just heard Bill O'Reilly talk about how young Americans are disengaged from politics. I agree with him on that, but I'm surprised it bothers him. If my generation were to vote in full power, conservatives wouldn't have a chance in hell. Instead, the outcome of the election lies primarily in the hands of the 40+ crowd, and they happen to be far more moderate, if not outright conservative.

Keystone Pipeline

I have a headache courtesy of Jason Louise. He argued that Obama vetoed the Keystone Pipeline because it would have harmed his ‘Green’ benefactors. According to Louise, said ‘Greenies’ loathe the prospect of acquiring an abundant source of fossil fuels, as such a discovery would lead to the bankruptcy of the whole ‘Green’ industry. Well… isn’t that the very problem at hand, Sir?

If we start focusing all our efforts on drilling and give up on the ‘Green’ movement, we’ll never develop efficient renewable energy sources. What the hell will we do then when our cherished fossil fuels run out—something that will eventually happen, especially if fuel consumption rates keep rising exponentially?

Think of it this way. Suppose you decide to finally build that humongous mansion you’ve been dreaming about all your life. In an effort to save money, you opt for the cheapest construction materials possible.

Years pass, and you keep on building. Your wife hammers you day in and out, urging you to think wisely and invest in the future by opting for brick, but you keep procrastinating and making excuses: “I’ll get some brick later. Right now I’m trying to save money!”

Eventually, you complete the home, and much to your wife’s chagrin, it’s composed entirely of cheap, low-quality materials. Then one day a horrible storm blows through your town and quickly destroys your house. Meanwhile, your neighbors’ homes, all of which were built for brick, remain standing.

Look… the problem is that conservatives like Jason Louis refuse to think about the future and sacrifice. All they care about is the almighty dollar. Yes, developing renewable energy is extremely expensive, and it does come with its fair share of mistakes, i.e. Solyndra. But that’s called the SCIENTIFIC PROCESS, and if we don’t do it now, when the bloody hell will we!?

When it’s too late… that’s when!

RomNO

Was listening to the Sean Hannity radio show while biking with Sheila. Romney as on. He said he plans to cut corporate taxes by 20% (decrease revenue), increase the US's foreign presence (up spending) and slice & dice Obamacare, Medicaid, Medicare and all other programs that assist the poor, elderly and handicapped. It's basically reverse wealth distribution: take from the poor and give to the rich. In my opinion, at least.

Conservative Radio

You know, I kind of enjoy listening to conservative/moderate discussions and shows. When I tune into like-minded shows like Politics Nation and Hardball on MSNBC, I hear exactly what I want to hear. They reaffirm everything I already believe, which in turn makes me docile. Conservative shows anger me and force me to devise credible rebuttals, and I kind of enjoy doing that!

Syria

Many people want the US to intervene in Syria, and I don't blame them, what with the ongoing massacres and massive human rights violations. There are two reasons why we haven't jumped in yet, though -->

There isn't an international consensus and, more importantly, according to Middle East expert Marc Lynch, "Military intervention in Syria has little prospect of success, a high risk of disastrous failure, and a near-certainty of escalation which should make the experience of Iraq weigh extremely heavily on anyone contemplating such an intervention."

It’s beyond sad to see these people dying left and right everyday on the news, but the US just isn’t in a position to help at the moment. And, if you ask me, it's about time other countries take up the mission of policing the world. Why do we always have to be the knight in shining armor? Can nobody else f**king stand up and do some damn good for a change?

Santorum

And oh. I was quite enjoying the Jason Louis Show 2day until it got interrupted by coverage of a local basketball game. He asked a brilliant question. How do you think most people react when they hear Iranian President Ahmajinedad talking about the 'Great Satan'? They chuckle and start calling him silly names like Ahmajinedingdong. Likewise, how do you think people respond when they hear a 2008 video of GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum talking about the 'Great Satan'?

Though I'm a liberal, I believe Santorum is a good guy deep inside. He's got a good heart and he's very principled. "God" bless him! But if he thinks preaching to the public will win him the presidency, he's sadly mistaken. Yes, it'll boost the ratings among his base, but he's got the entire country to convince! Yah know!?

On Uncle Pat’s Departure From MSNBC

I greatly disagree with the ideas Pat advocates (I quite like multiculturalism, thank you), but I did enjoy his antics on Morning Joe. That said, Pat Buchanan and Al Sharpton have nothing in common. Pat wants society to revert to some backwards-ass state that's all about segregation and people keeping to themselves, while Sharpton believes in open-mindedness, tolerance and everybody -- regardless of faith, color, etc. -- coming together. If some of you don't like that, then take your ass out of America, because my generation is all about coming together! Right now, in fact, I'm tinychatting in a room full of whites, blacks, Turkish people, US folks, Canadians, homosexuals, straights and even Muslims. And we are all vibing to the same beat -- that of hiphop!

Federalism Vs Statism

Daps @ Jewis Louise for chiding social conservatives who are obsessed with issues like gay marriage and religion by saying, “It’s the economy, stupid,” as in the economy is the deciding factor for the upcoming election. Sadly, this the only issue with which we agree.

Louise prefers that the US return back to a state-based system where laws regarding important issues like abortion, homosexuality and drugs are enacted in state courts. It’s ironic to me that conservatives believe in a single, omnipotent “God” whose laws apply to everyone, and yet they refuse to accept a single, omnipotent government whose laws apply to the entire nation. SMH.

I don’t want state-based laws because that would lead to division and, in my opinion, a breakdown of nationalism and patriotism. Plus, I think it would cause disenfranchisement among the poor, as they could, due to bad finances, end up stuck in states with which whose laws they disagree. Plus, the only reason conservatives want a state-based system is because they know the majority of Americans are against them. A state system would therefore allow them to regain power in those few states where the majority of people are still ass-backwards in their philosophies.

And HAH @ the idea that environmentalism is a ‘theology.’ Yo, what is more outlandish – the idea that pollution harms the Earth and should be regulated, or the idea of some old-ass, wise man named ‘God’ hovering above us and listening to our prayers? GTFOH!

Stupid Things

Santorum keeps saying stupid things. He also went off on Obama putting the Earth before man. That's ridiculous. Caring about the environment so as to ensure this planet remains healthy for millions of more years isn't the same thing as putting the Earth above man, though it should be noted that a PLANET is kind of bigger/more-important than one single species on a planet with millions of species!

Roughnecks

SMH @ the 'roughneck' men on Last Man Standing. They scare the shit outta me, I avoid them at all costs and they all seem to like nuts (pistachios, cashews, etc.), but they're cool people. And there are a SHITLOAD of them in North Carolina! This 'roughneck' territory! I wonder if Canada also has 'roughnecks'!? // The only one that doesn't scare me on the show is Ed, and that's only because I actually stand a chance of knocking his old-ass out in a fight, hahaha.

What's annoying is that the 'roughneck' men (both in the mainstream world and the hiphop world) always get the hot girls (EXCLUDING THE ONE IN THE MIDDLE CUZ SHE UNDERAGE)! And that's 6 out of 10 reasons why I lift --> to one day be a 'roughneck'!

Chasing The Kitty Kat

First good day in a minute. A possible GENUINE job lead (depending on the pay) and a bunch of work done on my website. Still no female, but that shit hasn't changed in 5 years. Plus, I'm sick of chasing after chicks:

I chased after a blond, 35-year-old woman a few years ago. Mind you, she was/is married, but that's besides the point!

I chased after a cute 5th-grade teacher who was my neighbor about 1.5 years ago. Mind you, she turned out to be a major snitch who may or may not have been responsible for cops showing up at my door and accusing me of selling drugs out the back of the house. By the way, BITCH, you owe me like $250 in court costs, lol!

I chased after a crazy-ass Canadian blond chick I met on tinychat a few months ago. And well, she turned out to be straight-up CRAZY, though I still kind of (not really) wish her the best (who the f**k cares?).

I've since chased after a few more, but with no results.

F**K IT! I'm done. I'm jumping into bed, inviting my dog to sleep on the blankets and maybe giving her a sweet, totally non-sexual bellyrub, though her bitch-ass doesn't deserve it, what with the fact she ate a got-damn $70 remote. But beggars can't be choosers, so fuck it. SHE MY BITCH 2NITE! LEGO!

#SINGLESWAG

(Yells "GTFOH" at #SINGLESWAG, lol) Anybody who thinks being single is cool is clinically insane, and yes, I said it!

// Excuse the rant. Just sick of trying. A midget can try to be a basketball player all he wants, but he's never going to be Lebron, point blank.

SMH. I started out in a good mood but thought so damn much that now I'm in a foul mood. Umma hafta quote my friend Fee on this one: "Sometimes you have to stop thinking so much and go where your heart takes you." Unfortunately, my heart lacks a compass and Asians have a horrible sense of direction! That said, I need me a sexy chauffeur, hahaha. SMFH!

I'm up out. Night!

// Final Thoughts

PS #1 – Will someone please take my dog away from me? I’m cruel, but I’m not cruel enough to sentence her to a doggie prison/shelter. That’s just unfathomable. But I mean… I never pet her because she sheds too much. And I yell at her a lot because she’s so stubborn and ADHD. She and I are just a bad fit. We’re like one of those couples on Maury or Jerry Springer. If we stay together, it’s only going to end up bad!

PS #2 – I miss Angelina. I’m much happier without her, and I’m finally returning to my normal self. Last weekend I watched J Edgar (I’m done writing lengthy movie synopses). I pay attention to politics again. But I’m lonely and miss that feeling I had when I was “infatuated” with her. I rather like being infatuated, but it just sucks that I never get infatuated with someone who is equally infatuated with me too!

PS #3 – Seth MacFarlane seems to think most black men like trashy white women. IDK about them, but I sure do! I mean the prospect of an intelligent chick sounds nice, but I have no chance. I don’t exude intelligence. I’m bloody smart AF underneath the façade, but I possess a goofy, awkward exterior that an intelligent woman would never time the time to look beyond. That said, my only hope is to one day SAVE A HOE … like a stripper or something.

PS #4 – I’m Captain Save A Hoe!

PS #5 – SWAG!
